Description
The Supervisor, Rx Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technicians leads a team of Pharmacy Technicians in the Coverage Determination Department. They provide non-clinical support of the policies and procedures to ensure best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members.
Responsibilities
The Supervisor, Rx Clinical Programs Pharmacy Technicians provides non-clinical support for the policies and procedures ensuring best and most appropriate treatment, care or services for members. Work assignments will involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data require in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Supervisor must understand department, segment and organizational strategy and operating objectives including their linkages to related areas.
In this role you will:
+ Work from home in FL
+ Contribute to the administration of utilization management
+ Provide day to day oversight for a team of 12-15 Pharmacy Technician associates
+ Be responsible for the training and ongoing developmental needs of the team
+ Follow established guidelines/procedures
+ Lead utilization management front end operations, team work, inventory and productivity
+ Make decisions related to schedule, plans and daily operations
+ Hold team members accountable for following established policies and procedures
+ Work without direction or under limited guidance
+ Exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
+ Ensure that team decisions are limited to defined parameters around work expectations, compliance requirements, quality standards, priorities & timing and/or within established policies/practices and guidelines with minimal opportunity for deviation
+ Assist with any ad hoc corporate and pharmacy initiatives
Required Qualifications
+ Current FL Registered Pharmacy Technician
+ Current CPhT
+ Leadership experience
+ Must be able to provide internet connection; a minimum download speed of 25 Mbps and upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended to support Humana applications, per associate
+ Must be able to commit to a weekend on call rotation. This is a Monday - Friday position however the team works 7 days/week so there may be times where assistance is needed.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Managed Care Experience
+ Prior experience leading and motivating a team with compassion empathy and strong communication
+ Bilingual - English/Spanish
