Job SummaryThe Payroll Administrator is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, verification and delivery of payroll according to standard payroll practices and compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.  This role takes ownership of data integrity for payroll related systems.
Essential Functions
• Responsible for ensuring all aspects of the payroll cycle, including tax, benefits, wage attachments, etc. are processed, reconciled, audited and transmitted accurately and timely
• Maintains payroll guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures
• Complies with federal, state, and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, etc.
• Creates and manages all needed payroll reports
• Exercises discretion in decisions related to the to the setup and management of accounting procedures for payroll data
• Creates reports related to payroll budget updates, cost analysis, etc.
• Responsible for organization of payroll reports
• Acts as first contact for all payroll questions, including timecard management
• Completes consistent audits on payroll ensuring the integrity of its data and system accuracy, including benefit deductions, tax selections and rates, and all earnings.
• Performs benefit invoice reconciliation to ensure accurate invoicing and resolves discrepancies
• Reconciles employee benefit payments for leave of absences
• Ensures all benefit deductions are funded to the insurance carriers
• Assists with benefit administration for employees
• Provides ad hoc reports for management as requested
• Coordinates information needed for annual external and internal audits
• Completes a variety of quarterly and annual government reporting and submits upon manager approval
• Works on special projects and performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients and internal team members
• Must be dependable and present a professional appearance
• Restaurant payroll experience preferred
Education and Technical Requirements
• College degree in related field or High School diploma with equivalent experience and certifications
• 3 to 5 years of experience processing payroll for 200 plus headcount, multi-entity, multi-state organization, including benefits management
• Fundamentals of Payroll or Certified Payroll Professional certification preferred
• End-to-end payroll experience required
