Summary
The Accounting Assistant assists with reconciliations, processing vendor payments and data entry for purchase, accounting processes and month-end accounting. This is an excellent “new to accounting” role.
Responsibilities
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and the agency trial balances.
• Data entry of direct bill production into accounting system according to company procedures.
• Recording fixed asset depreciation and various banking activity.
• Data entry related to purchase accounting processes.
• Assists with month end accounting and reporting.
• Assists with processing vendor payables.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; and/or 2 + years of experience
• Tech savvy; must have intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite; agency management system experience preferred
• Multitasking/organizational/time-management skills
• Strong math skills
