A strong hospital organization located in Southern Virginia, on the border of Northern North Carolina is looking for a Nurse Director Perioperative Services to run their operating room surgical services department. The RN Director Perioperative Services will oversee over 10 operating rooms, but not all are used daily.
The RN Director Perioperative Services will oversee the operating room, PACU, Day Surgery, Endoscopy, pre procedure, and sterile processing. This surgical services department performs over 4,000 procedures per year and common specialties are general, orthopedic, OB/GYN, ENT, Nephrology/Urology, and Spine and Thoracic.
The Director of Perioperative Services will join a hospital system with an extensive presence across multiple states. This community hospital is an academic teaching hospital and their mission includes creating a place for employees to want to work and patients to want to get patient care.
The Perioperative Services Nurse Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will have the support of an OR Manager and board runner. The Perioperative Nurse Director will implement and develop department goals, direct operations, performance and quality initiatives
