Job Summary
The Director of the Cardiovascular Center will serve as a leader in planning, directing, and managing the department staff to assure quality care to all patients. This role will direct managers in the responsibility for the implementation of plans, policies, procedures, and budgets necessary to provide efficient services. The Director will also serve as a member of various interdepartmental teams and service lines while networking with other departments and attending physicians to offer a high level of customer experience and patient care. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
• Directs the development of specific short and long-range programs and project plans to obtain the facility objectives.
• Responsible for the planning and coordination of the Cardiovascular department's daily activities, the operational efficiency, and effectiveness as well as a major impact on all other hospital areas
Education: Completion of two (2) year accredited program in Radiological Technology & Cardiovascular Program. Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, or related field required. Master’s Degree in Healthcare Management, Nursing, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of clinical procedure experience within a Hospital Procedural Department
• 5 years of progressive management experience
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT), or Licensed RN in the state of Florida.
