Hiring Salary/Salary Range: $16.00 hourly rate, 20 hours per week - 35 hours max

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Research Assistant position is a part time position (20 hours/week- max 35 hours) for someone interested in assisting with implementation of complex clinical trials. The successful applicant will relate well with patients and staff, be very organized and have phlebotomy training.
DUTIES:
Screening potential subjects
• Review clinic schedules to identify potential subjects (after IRB pre-screening approval).
• Outreach to potential participants
• Conduct Informed Consent
• Educate patients/ parents on the study
Subject enrollment and follow up visits
• Assist study coordinators conducting study visits
• Prepare study documents
• Assist with collection and processing of specimens
• Assist study coordinators to schedule study visits and follow up appointments
Chart abstraction and chart report
• Abstract medical information from EMR
• Complete chart reports
• Enter data as stipulated by the protocols
• File study documents
Other duties as needed and appropriate including:
• Office assistance as needed to include answering phones and paperwork management
QUALIFICATIONS (Education & Experience):
Minimum Qualifications:
• This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience in office or administrative support or in research support.
• College education may be substituted for the required experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous research experience preferred
