Assigned to projects to lead the IT data and integration solutions. Responsible for data integration solution design, ensuring the solution meets the business requirements and fits within the overall Enterprise & Data Architecture and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. Responsible for helping to design, deploy, manage, and support the systems and infrastructure required for a data processing pipeline in support of a products requirements. In the Lazydays RV Azure environment, the architect must possess Azure expertise as well as broader knowledge of middleware, Cloud architecture, etc.
KEY OUTCOMES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
• SELF-MOTIVATION - Maintain the right attitude, willingness to learn new skills, and demonstrate willingness to take ownership of problems.
• LEADER – Stepping up to take lead roles in projects related to integration technical architectures that adheres to the EA, which in turn enables the overall SaaS Operating Model. Design, build and maintain a modern “data lake” as our single source of consolidated enterprise.
• TEAM-WORK – Demonstrate capabilities of communication and productive collaboration, and work well with a group.
• DISCIPLINED – Establish and facilitate data governance via stewards and ongoing Data community. Assessment of new architectural patterns, designs, standards, and technologies when the existing EA appears inadequate.
• TOOLBOX – Design, build, and maintain a modern enterprise data dictionary. Architect & enable stable high-performance data integrations across legacy, cloud and new SaaS applications.
• PROBLEM-SOLVING – Demonstrate abilities to be creative, think analytically, adapt and be flexible. Detailed technology design for a particular project’s integration requirements
• INITIATIVE – Drive value through strategic collection, management, movement and use to accelerate insights and data “as an asset”.
• CLARITY – Establish and maintain data architecture, MDM, and data standards. Be clear on what is to be achieved and provide constructive feedback.
• PREPARE FOR THE FUTURE – Demonstrate willingness and interest in staying up to date with technology, including cloud, business intelligence, data analytics, integration methods, database/SQL, and business platform environments.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Implementing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) with associated monitoring and performance tuning.
• Proficient in distributed computing principles and has a broad experience across a set of data stores (e.g., Azure Data Lake Store, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database), messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hubs), and data processing engines (e.g., Apache Spark, Azure Data Factory).
• Define naming standards in the integration solution and in the broader Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
• Design Azure Cloud Services for data-intensive enterprise shared services.
• Design and maintain the Azure network in collaboration with Infrastructure & IT Security.
• Develop standards and procedures for Azure Lifecycle Management.
• Define and set Azure policies that must be adhered to by all IT projects.
• Effective communication with peers and ability to multitask and work in a team environment with a can-do attitude.
• Understanding of Agile software development and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience developing N tier, enterprise, web applications.
• Ability to adhere to coding standards and conduct routine design and code reviews
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot technology problems with speed and accuracy.
• Knowledge of operating systems and server platforms in the MS technology stack.
• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development Methodologies and experience in writing Unit Tests.
• Expertise in Object Oriented Methodologies.
• Working knowledge of relational database management systems (MS SQL Server).
• Expertise in the following technologies / programming languages (MDX, DAX, SQL, C#).
• Comprehensive knowledge of solution development in Azure Data Studio, Microsoft Visual Studio and SQL Server Management Studio.
• Understanding of system security infrastructure and knowledge of best practices in secure coding
QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 4+ years of BI development experience using MS technology stack, including 3+ years of experience developing both multidimensional and tabular models with large and complex datasets.
• Strong language proficiency in SQL, and DAX in databases and in Excel and Power BI. Language proficiency in Python preferred.
• Mandate to have experience with BI tools and systems such as Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos.
• Excellent problem solving, systems thinking, and communication skills.
• Microsoft Azure experience highly valued.
• Machine Learning and statistical modeling preferred.
• Knowledge of:
• Microsoft Azure to build, test, deploy, and manage, applications and services.
• Data processing, transformation, and integrations related to machine learning.
• Databases and operating systems.
• Email systems and Microsoft Office software.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have strong problem-solving abilities, self-starter, sound team player.
• Ability to:
• Learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Follow instructions and work in a team environment.
• Read, write, and comprehend English.
