Read more about our opportunity below ...Work you'll do/ResponsibilitiesAn IBM DataStage ETL Developer on this project will work as part of a product development team and be involved in the design, build, unit testing, and deployment of ETL jobs and sequences built using the IBM InfoSphere DataStage tool. These ETL jobs support pulling client source data into a data warehouse to support report development. The developer should expect to pull multiple formats of source data, including SharePoint list XML, web services, delimited flat files, and other sources. The developer is responsible for translating functional ETL requirements into a technical design document, building the DataStage jobs and sequences to pull data from the source into staging tables, from staging tables into historical tables using Change Data Capture methodologies, and then from historical tables into dimensional data marts for reporting. The developer should ideally have a strong understanding of dimensional modeling concepts and the ability to write complex queries against a Microsoft SQL Server database.Identify and independently complete project tasksIdentify key drivers of a defined, straightforward problem and propose solutions using analysis, and decision-making tools.Develop solutions to client problems through application of methods and tools; validate solutions to subject matter expertsDemonstrate accountability and contribute to the successful realization of client goalsThe TeamAnalytics & CognitiveIn this age of disruption, organizations need to navigate the future with confidence, embracing decision making with clear, data-driven choices that deliver enterprise value in a dynamic business environment.The Analytics & Cognitive team leverages the power of data, analytics, robotics, science and cognitive technologies to uncover hidden relationships from vast troves of data, generate insights, and inform decision-making. Together with the Strategy practice, our Strategy & Analytics portfolio helps clients transform their business by architecting organizational intelligence programs and differentiated strategies to win in their chosen markets.Analytics & Cognitive will work with our clients to:Implement large-scale data ecosystems including data management, governance and the integration of structured and unstructured data to generate insights leveraging cloud-based platformsLeverage automation, cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actionsDrive operational efficiency by maintaining their data ecosystems, sourcing analytics expertise and providing As-a-Service offerings for continuous insights and improvementsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experienceMust have 6+ years of experience working within Data Warehouse environments3+ years of experience with IBM DataStageExperience writing SQL queries in MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2014Experience with data warehouse integrations and designing dimensional data modelsMust be able to maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) in support of business intelligence analyticsTravel up to 20% annually (While 20% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)Must be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearanceMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or any time in the future.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Boomi Master Data Management, Big Data Modelling.Experience in consulting and/or industry experiencePotential and ability to manage work streams within large engagementsAptitude for trouble-shooting and problem-solving in an IT environmentStrong technical skills including understanding of software development principles
