ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:
USF Information Technology (USF IT) provides technology services and support for the USF System including the USF institutions in Tampa (including USF Health), St. Petersburg and Sarasota-Manatee. The IT team, led by the System Vice President and CIO, provides the following services: Administrative Services, Client Support, Communication Services, Teaching and Learning, Analytics and Reporting, Mobile and Web Services, Consulting Services, Cybersecurity Service and Research Technologies.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Acts as project manager for Audio-Visual/ Information Technology projects. This includes: meeting with customers to determine AV system requirements, conducting site visits to capture the specific details of installation spaces, working with USF Facilities Planning to obtain necessary infrastructure upgrades, insuring all installations are code compliant, consulting with AVES engineering team to develop a system design, writing scopes of work and obtaining quotes from vendors based on said scope, preparing proposals for customer's sign-off, working with the IT Financial Management team to procure goods and services, and coordinating installations with vendors and customers. Administers all aspects of the process via the JIRA agile project management platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Project Management Coordination:
Works with USF departments to coordinate and install a variety of AV/IT solutions on campus and off-site satellite locations. Works alongside USF Facilities to obtain necessary infrastructure upgrades, insuring all installations are code compliant and consulting with AVES engineering team to develop system designs and scopes of work.
Customer Contact:
Meets with customers to determine AV system requirements, conducting site visits to capture specific details of installation spaces and acting as the main point-of-contact for larger scale projects, including technology training
Documentation:
Documents all phases of the projects in the JIRA agile project management platform. This includes basic communication of progress as well as milestone deliveries such as SoW, Quotes, Pos and commissioning checklists. Also prepares proposals and designs for customer's sign-off
Technical Commissioning/ Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoots technical problems related to AV installations and equipment, resolving or providing replacement solutions as needed.
Performs other duties within IT/AV Services, as determined by supervisor; participates in professional development activities as appropriate.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
MINIMUM:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other field involving software and analytical training and one year of IT related work experience; or a Bachelor's degree with no specific required field and two years of IT related work experience, OR a Master's degree and one year of IT related work experience, OR a combination of five years of IT related work experience and validated training.  Preparation for a relevant IT certification is considered to be related training.
