**ROLE SUMMARY**
Pfizer's Architecture organization inside our Experience, Strategy & Excellence team is responsible for translating Pfizer's strategy into innovative products and digital, data, and technology business solutions for our customers, partners, and colleagues. The team leads the strategic efforts in creating an enterprise blueprint that ties together our experiences, data, workflows, capabilities, applications, integration, and back-end services in a cohesive way that strengthens our capabilities, drives speed, and powers innovation.
The Director of Integration and Services Architecture is a member of the Connected Platforms team. The role works across the global Pfizer enterprise to provide deep design expertise in service-oriented architecture & system integration and enables the effective implementation of these capabilities through guidelines, patterns, standards and platform thinking.
**ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Provides leadership in the definition of digital business APIs and connectivity that enables Pfizer to integrate into the broader global healthcare ecosystem, enabling greater value exchange with partners and customers and the digitization of end-to end value streams and processes.
+ Sets the standards for Service-Oriented Architecture at Pfizer, including creating playbooks and sample architectures. Treats services as Products and partners with service owners to enable horizontal digital services across the enterprise.
+ Contributes to priority Digital initiatives by bringing integration architecture expertise, engaging with project team members in conceptualizing and designing solutions for impact and scale. (PROJECTS)
+ Enables effective design and execution across the enterprise by defining, documenting and communicating recommended integration & workflow design principles, patterns, reference architectures, standards, and platforms. Helps Pfizer advance its position on the integration and services maturity model. (ENABLEMENT)
+ Analyzes enterprise business context (trends, business strategy and required capabilities), to develop and maintain enterprise integration and services-oriented architecture strategies and road maps. (STRATEGY)
+ Influences the roadmaps of enabling platforms to ensure the needs of emerging integration and workflow capabilities are met (PLATFORM EVOLUTION)
+ Provide thought leadership on integration and workflow related emerging technologies and trends (THOUGHT LEADERSHIP)
**BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**
+ MINIMUM: BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
+ 10+ Years of design and implementation experience in IT/Digital, in roles such as architect, software engineer, application engineer
+ 3+ years of experience in key integration platforms and patterns: application program interfaces (APIs), file-based integrations, event driven integration, services-oriented architecture (SOA), enterprise services bus architectures (ESB), streaming data/IoT and the supporting technologies and standards for all of the above (REST Web Services, SQS, UDDI, WSDL, BPEL, EDI, RAML/OpenAPI, RabbitMQ, Kafka, microservices, PubSub Model, FHIR, OAuth, etc.)
+ Demonstrated thought leadership within the area of service-oriented design and architecture, including services as products
+ Knowledge of on-premise, cloud and hybrid deployment models; understanding of effective use of Hybrid iPaaS (integration platform as a service)
+ Working in large, geographically dispersed, matrixed teams
+ Track record delivering complex programs within budget, time, scope, quality
+ Leading enterprise and project architecture activities and artifacts - blueprints, roadmaps, conceptual architecture diagrams, vendor evaluations, etc.
+ As role is enterprise in scope, having experience in multiple Life Sciences domains is desired - e.g., R&D, GPD, Commercial, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
+ Master's degree in information management, Computer Science, Engineering or Technology Management.
