Job Description / Duties:
• Assist with development and maintenance of network documentation.
• Monitor backup jobs across multiple platforms and locations.
• Maintain backup policies and standards.
• Troubleshoot performance problems and propose solutions.
• Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers' disk and tape storage devices.
• Follow and maintain in-house documentation for repeatable processes.
• In addition to the backup responsibilities, the position will also be responsible to resolve datacenter service requests, build and decommission servers, and support production datacenter operations.
• Provide Tier 3 NetBackup support via a ticketing system including restores, troubleshooting and assisting server and database administrators.
• Analyze reports and resolve backup errors and incidents.
• Develop scripting solutions for backup and restore processes.
