Full Job Description
Our Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist specializes in patient interactions and providing exceptional care.
This position has no direct reports and reports to the Office Manager or Clinic Director.
Responsibilities:
• Perform phlebotomy on all patients
• Administer injections
• Educate patients to how to self-administer injections
• Constitute medications and prepare them for patient pick up (training provided)
• Triage patients
• Understand and comply with all HIPAA and OSHA standards
• Complete exam forms
• Assist at the front desk, as needed
• Memorize phone scripts
• Learn all Options programs and services
• All other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
• Experience with EMR and phone systems
• High personal energy and enthusiasm for helping people
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
• Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification (preferred)
• One year of medical assisting or phlebotomy experience (preferred)
• Must be comfortable performing phlebotomy without supervision
