The TSL (MedTech Commercial) will work closely with the Release Train Engineer, Product Owner, Lead Developer and Solution / Data Engineer, and run multiple Agile teams to manage risk in the backlog and supervise and control the timeliness and quality of deliverables. They are accountable for the development and delivery of solutions in support of J&J Medical Technology businesses and value streams using Scaled Agile practices. Working across commercial business technology and product line groups, the TSL will craft and deliver innovative solutions for the business, requiring a strong ability in business and technology.
This role reports to the Manager, Technology Solutions Engagement (MedTech) and will play a key leadership role on teams comprised of individuals from business and JJT (Business Technology and Technology Services) to manage business priorities and deliver shared business outcomes related to Commercial/Sales/Service domains including, but not limited to, Ordering and Inventory Management, Salesforce Efficiency, CRM, Pricing and Contracting, and Downstream integration teams.
Qualified candidates must have a strong technical background, prior experience delivering commercial applications, as well as demonstrated outstanding execution in solution delivery using Agile processes.
The Solution Lead will be responsible for:
• Optimizing the flow of work and communications across iterations and Program Increments (PI).
• Ensure the business and technical solution architecture is complete and fit-for-purpose in terms of its ability to address stakeholder requirements.
• In partnership with program engineers, implementation of DevOps methodologies, build processes (CI/CD), tooling and automation that drive efficiency, reliability and security.
• Ensuring alignment on architecture and design that are scalable to the region, sector, and franchise level, and in line with overall business needs and strategy.
• Technology solutioning, delivery and Contributing to multiple commercial technologies and platforms, with a strong focus on the Salesforce.com ecosystem.
• Working with JJT and functional partners (Product Managers/Owners) to ensure priorities and needs are fulfilled per committed program increment objectives.
• Leading all production calls and working with respective teams on problem solving and resolving production issues.
• Working with all downstream integration teams to ensure product stability
• Managing/mentoring Agile teams and tracking metrics centered around team performance and code quality.
• Staffing teams through internal associates and contract partners, onboarding new members to the team and serving as coach/mentor/servant leader while managing performance.
• Staying abreast of industry trends along with customer insights as input into the organization’s commercial solution set and crafting recommendations in alignment with overall technology strategy.
• IT compliance and security related to commercial solutions (GxP, WICO, HIPAA, SOx).
• Building a diverse team and leading in alignment with J&J Credo values.
Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required. Major in Computer Science, Information Technology or Engineering is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years hands on IT experience implementing commercial solutions is required, along with specific track-record of at least one successful full-cycle implementations on the Salesforce.com platform.
• Experience in planning and managing the finances and schedules of medium to large-sized projects using both waterfall and Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Experience leading Agile Scrum teams is required
• Ability to play Scrum Master is preferred.
• CSM is preferred.
• Knowledge of Scaled Agile frameworks is required.
• Ability to mentor team members and collaborators at various levels on software delivery processes, best practices and J&J standards.
• Solid technical foundation with commercial technologies, databases and integrations is required.
• Ability to operate effectively with all parts of the J&J business and JJT organization as well as management of relationships with vendor partners is required.
• Strong interpersonal skills required. Excellent communication, networking, and influencing skills including the ability to manage across all management and organizational levels.
