Marketing Manager-Brand Strategy
What Will You Do?
The Marketing Manager, Brand Strategy, will play a crucial role in continuing to grow the Ashley brand and oversee their respective department. This role will create strategies that reach new customers in fresh, innovative ways - from national campaigns, seasonal strategies, catalogs, and in-store experiences. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial and resourceful, a self-starter, a strategic thinker who understands how marketing and global brands operate, an excellent communicator, and passion for consistent branding that consumers connect with and love. This role requires collaboration across the organization and the ideal candidate demonstrates extreme ownership and accountability over their area. Ability to jump from strategy to execution where needed. Is responsible for breaking down roadblocks for the executional team. The Marketing Manager will evaluate gaps and resource needs to continue to grow the business. Responsible for the overall growth of the team and KPIs. The Marketing Manager builds a culture of leadership and a productive environment for the entire team. Exemplifies a “we over me” mentality. Manages the day-to-day while demonstrating the capacity to push the limits of the program and drive innovation.
• Identify and drive opportunities to continuously improve marketing and advertising performance, tools, documentation, and processes by analyzing performance and competitive research.
• Manage relationships with external marketing agencies and lead the process for new agency selection when needed.
• Provide overall project management and coordination of marketing activities.
• Develop direct marketing campaigns, plan A/B testing strategies, partner with creative department and analyze campaign results.
• Develop specific launch plans for each new product and/or lifestyle introduction, working across the organization to ensure proper support.
• Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
• Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area’s goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
• Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring, and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
• Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
• Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
• Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods, and materials.
• Demonstrate the Company’s Core and Growth Values in the performance of all job functions.
What Do You Need?
• 5 years of experience in Marketing, required.
• Management or team lead experience, preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or related field or equivalent work experience, required.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Document management system.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Maintain confidentiality.
