Rooms To Go is currently looking for a Property Tax Manager to join our team.
The Property Tax Manager will be responsible for the efficient, timely and accurate preparation, filing and payment of real and personal property tax, sales and use tax, business licenses, escheatment, audits, account reconciliations, and other related tax compliance as needed.
Responsibilities :
• Accurately complete and timely file and/or provide support for filing applicable tax related returns and reports
• Ensure that appropriate tax is paid by consistent review and evaluation of all data
• Make appropriate and timely payments by check, on-line electronically
• Respond efficiently to jurisdictional and external consultants’ inquiries/requests
• Maintain and abide by current due date calendars
• Perform miscellaneous projects as requested
• Interpret and comply with federal, state, and local statutes, regulations, and legislation
• Contribute to company and team initiatives, objectives, and projects
Required Experience and Education:
• Bachelor’s or equivalent college degree or 5+ years related experience
• Microsoft Office experience
• Experience with OneSource, PTMS and Vertex a plus
• Fixed Asset reporting and reconciliation
• Real Estate Assessments and appeals
