Full Job Description
Seeking medical assistant/transcriptionist/scribe for nephrology practice. Job requirements are as follows:
• This is a salaried position.
• Work primarily in Tampa office with 1-2 days work per month in Zephyrhills
• Tampa office 14502 N Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa 33618
• Zephyrhills office 5344 9th Street, Zephyrhills 33542
• Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. until work is complete
• Anticipate average work day 10:00 am to 6/7 pm
• You will have time for breaks as needed
• 2 weeks paid vacation (1 week after 6 months, 2 weeks after 12 months of employment)
• Health insurance is not available
• Review charts and provide doctor clinical data as requested
• Prep charts
• Enter/Execute orders
• Complete documentation
• Communicate with patients
• Coordinate telehealth visits
• Check patients in
• Get vitals
• Verify medication lists
• Pull data from labs and hospital records
• Prepare patient to be seen by doctor
• Take notes and completed the orders and instructions post visit
• Estimate 30 encounters per day
• Must be technologically savvy and excellent typist
• Willing to train the right candidate
• If you have a hard time learning varied software, this is not the job for you
• This is a new clinical model that is being tried to enhance patient care, throughput and workflow.
• You must be adept at reviewing patient data and providing doctor with information that is needed/requested
• You must be comfortable communicating with patients most of whom are elderly and not technologically savvy
• This is as much clinical as it is customer service oriented
• You will be the face of the practice through your interactions with patients
