POSITION SUMMARY:   Assists the physician in performing invasive electrophysiology procedures to treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and cardiac arrhythmias.  Specializes in the care of patients undergoing PTCA, stent placement, IABP placement and EP devices and ablations.
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
• High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a Cardiovascular Tech program preferred.
• 0- 2 years of Electrophysiology experience with knowledge of EP and Ablation devices.
• RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist) or required to attain within 1 year of hire or transfer to position
• BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
• Skills: Proficient in arrhythmia identification, hemodynamic changes, all interventional (EP/ablation/coronary/peripheral).  Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills, ability to read/comprehend written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, PC skills
