We are hiring for a Full Time Pharmacy Technician (Compliance) for our Corporate office.

A chain of independent pharmacy with a strong focus on patient care and adherence is hiring for its Corporate office in Tampa, FL. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented people to join our staff.

Pharmacy Technician (Compliance) duties and responsibilities
From day to day, the Pharmacy Technician (Compliance) will ensure everyone adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. They perform regular audits of business procedures and processes to ensure this compliance. Their key duties and responsibilities can also include:
• Assist businesses in the preparation for external audits and surveys.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with all laws and regulations; ensure that all businesses meet and exceed accreditation standards; and implement “best practices” in all activities.
• Prepare and conduct monitoring initiatives or internal audits (if and when applicable), to determine compliance with the Compliance and Quality Department and relevant laws and rules including but not limited to: HIPAA Privacy Standards, Medicare Standards and guidelines, and accreditation standards.
• Advise the Chief Compliance Officer on compliance with laws and regulations through detailed reports.
• Coordinate with Chief Compliance Officer on compliance monitoring plans and activities.
• Assist in the development and review businesses policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Creating and reviewing regulatory compliance documentation
• Coordinating the creation, review and implementation of policies and procedures resulting from new laws and regulations
• Applying and interpreting audit and compliance requirements for various departments
• Working closely with the compliance director and other senior executives
Requirement:-
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (required) or Juris Doctor
• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (required if CPHT)
• 2+ years of pharmacy experience
• 2+ years customer support experience in a contact center (preferred)
• Understanding of rules and regulations of pharmacy.
• Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping
• Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities
• An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations
• Excellent communication skills
• Certified compliance professional is a plus
