SPVR INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY Allied Health & Clinical Lab Hours: Monday - Friday + on-call Day Shift - Full Time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: EX E35 - 37.0500 - 46.5000
Job Summary # Position Highlights: Is responsible for the daily direct supervision of the IR Technologists, the IR Specialty Scheduling (Coordinators), the Imaging Assistants and related activities. Must be capable of performing examinations on selected portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician on patients based on age appropriate criteria. Is directly responsible for assigned staff members as it relates to organizing schedules, directing activities, supporting a team approach and working collaboratively with all Radiology teams such as: radiologists, nursing, scheduling coordinators, advanced practioners (APPs), referring providers and other team members. Oversees the QC program and assisting with all ACR Accreditations, TJC Surveys and regulatory and state compliance. Must be able to work assigned hours and be available after assigned hours as needed. The Ideal Candidate: Has Bachelor#s degree in Radiologic Technology with advanced certification in the vascular discipline. Has one to two years of supervisory experience. Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Responsibilities: Must demonstrate complete working knowledge of all IR exams and the use of all IR equipment. Evaluate the quality of work in the department and maintain a thorough knowledge of the requirements for TJC, ACR and local State and Federal Regulations. Understand and possess the ability to correct technologist billing and charge codes as required. Must be able to evaluate industry trends, new methods and equipment. Responsible for the direct supervision of the IR Technologists, the IR Specialty Scheduling (Coordinators), the Diagnostic Imaging Assistants and the daily operations of the IR Department through coordinated and collaborative efforts with IR Nursing and the Patient Care Manager. Evaluate and adjust as necessary the daily IR schedule to include any and all research studies. Credentials and Qualifications: Associate#s degree in Radiology Technology required. Florida license as a Radiographer is required. ARRT certification in Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI) required. Current BLS required. Minimum of 5 years of previous Interventional Radiology experience in a hospital setting required.
