JOB SUMMARY
MGT is a national leader in public sector management consulting and services that delivers diverse business consulting services to a wide range of public sector groups. MGT is looking for an intelligent, creative person to join as an intern within our Human Resources and Culture Department. You will participate in a meaningful and challenging internship that will allow each intern to have exposure to different facets of the business and receive critical business skills and career and personal development training. Interns will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects within a cross-functional team of professionals and get exposure to leaders within the business.
This position will rotate through gaining knowledge on all aspects of data management from guiding employee/manager through employee data direct access submissions, processing new hire transactions, and employee/manager direct access submissions to ensure that all data is accurately actioned on a timely basis. Additionally, this role will utilize foundational and employee data to ensure organization structures and foundational hierarchies in are accurate and will create, display, change, or delete data related to the foundational and organization structure in the system. This role will utilize the knowledge gained to identify process improvement recommendations that positively impacts the employee/manager experience at MGT.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Partners with HR Operations and Workforce Development to work on corporate strategic projects that enhance our talent management and Workforce data analytics functions
• Develop and implement project plans; determine requirements, deliverables, resources, timing/milestones, and communicate findings and project status clearly and professionally
• Enter data into electronic databases and file electronic and paper records
• Improve data control processes in accordance with compliance standards (personnel files, I9s, EEO information)
• Support data mining, data manipulation, data cleansing, record matching, table linking, table structures, and importing and exporting data in Excel 
• Ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, and share information and ideas with others
• Collaborate on an assortment of projects and HR & Culture initiatives such as Mergers and Acquisitions, HRIS implementation, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion event planning, Performance Management process, Workforce Management, etc.
• Make recommendations to improve the efficiency of department processes
• Support Ad-hoc request as identified
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Enrollment or completion of a bachelor's program in Human Resources, Business, Mathematics, Finance, or comparable degree. Master's program preferred
• Strong business acumen and result orientation, including sophisticated critical and strategic thinking, problem-solving and analytic skills
• Organized and able to handle a fast-paced work environment by dealing with ambiguity and taking initiatives to tackle challenges independently
• Experience with analytical research and database design, including the ability to translate and summarize analysis and results into understandable, actionable reports, and recommendations
• Ability to drive projects to completion with minimal guidance and communicate complex ideas clearly, with excellent written and oral presentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Ability to work a minimum of 20-25 hours per week
