Warehouse / Logistics Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist who is an aggressive team player - confident, credible, and intelligent - looking for a challenging opportunity to accelerate growth.
Your Position
The Logistics Specialist executes handling and control functions involved in the receiving, identification, counting/weighing, marking, quality assessment, warehouse storage, and shipping/delivery of the company’s products to our customers. In this role you will report to the Logistics Manager, supporting all aspects of the operation of the Distribution Center as well as ensuring appropriate data entry and maintenance of our ERP database. As an individual who represents our company and ensures the right product is delivered on time, you must be a self-starter with an extremely high level of attention to detail.

Your Responsibilities
General
• Execute logistics, warehouse, and transportation operations
• Organize warehouse, label goods and process shipments
• Encoding Production
• Work with other departments to incorporate logistics within company procedures and operations
• Compliance with policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions of large scope and complexity
• Ensure all operations adhere to laws, guidelines, safety, and ISO requirements
• Respond to any issues or complaints
Receiving
• Receive materials from trucks and assist with unloading.
• Verify against purchase orders or packing slips and resolve differences.
• Inspect material/delivery for damages and quantity before signing authorization of receipt; reject damaged materials; work with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
• Transact all received packages through the ERP inventory system.
• Be licensed to operate all power lift equipment needed to unload incoming freight and operate lift equipment as required.
• Transport material to assigned locations, and store product in inventory as needed.
• Interact with Logistics Manager to resolve any delivery problems.
Shipping
• Provide freight or package shipping services as requested by departments.
• Verify Shipments against Sales Orders.
• Inspect material for damages and quantity before packing.
• Package materials in damage-proof packaging for shipment.
• Be licensed to operate all power lift equipment needed to load outgoing Freight and operate lift equipment as required to load shipments.
• Transact all shipments through the ERP inventory system.
• Responsible to communicate delivery schedule changes and impact to customers.
These Responsibilities Include the Following:

• Lifting and moving material up to 75 pounds each
• Bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
• Frequent walking in the building and around area
• Standing and walking for up to 8 hours a day
• Operating Forklift, Powered Lift Equipment, Powered & Manual Pallet Jack equipment and Hand Trucks.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitation
Your Experience
• 3+ years of progressive logistics experience in distribution centers or warehouses
• Experience in an e-commerce fulfillment position preferred
• Hospitality industry experience desired
• Oracle NetSuite experience desired
Your Skills & Qualifications
• Strong sense of integrity, ethics and moral principle.
• Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and autonomously, managing your time, and making judgments that are in the best interest of the client and RFID Hotel.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Superior professional presence and business acumen.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
