Full Job Description
We are looking for a motivated, innovative, efficient Human Resources Generalist at Validus Senior Living. In this role you will assist the Human Resources Team with a variety of HR functions to maintain compliance and support the overall business and associate needs of both Validus Senior Living and the Inspired Living communities. Some of these functions include: recruiting and hiring, advising and guiding community associates, special projects, HR administrative work and additional tasks under supervision.
In this position, your typical duties will include:
• Providing overall support to the HR Team and assisting the communities in recruitment and hiring activities
• Coordinating leadership training using company tools and procedures including creating/managing onboarding plans, providing accountability and feedback, and educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
• Advising and guiding community associate inquiries as a supportive HR presence in the company in areas of policy, protocol and our HRMS: Paycom.
In summary, every day will be new and different. You will need to be comfortable multi-tasking, and handling both low- and high-level HR functions for a fast-growing company. Prioritizing and shifting priorities is a must. Sense of humor is a plus. Cross functionality is essential.
Minimum qualifications established for this position are:
• An Associate's Degree and 2 years or a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources (experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis.)
• Experience in a senior living or healthcare environment preferred but not required
• Ability to satisfy background screening requirements
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a team environment, with multiple reports
Travel Requirements
Occasional travel for job fairs, training and/or community visits may be required.
Work Environment
Works in a well-lighted area that is ventilated and as physically, physiologically and psychologically innocuous as possible under the conditions which exist at any particular time. On occasion, there may be exposure to outdoor spaces, which will, by their nature, have variances in air quality, temperature, walking surfaces, lighting, and other physical aspects. Occasionally, time will be spent at senior living communities, where environmental and safety conditions will fluctuate, which may result in exposure to bodily functions and infectious waste, diseases, odors and other situations associated with health care, including but not limited to exposure to AIDS, HIV and Hepatitis B viruses involving Risk Classification Categories 2 and 3**.

Frequent body movements include, lifting, moving, transferring, bending, stooping, squatting and reaching. Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry objects weighing up to 40 pounds, unassisted, with twisting and turning of the torso. Ability to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
