What you’ll be doing...
You will be a senior member of the Verizon Network Transparency teams we look to provide our fixed and mobile customers with awareness on the health of the Verizon network as it impacts their service. The goal of the program is to identify customer services and provide notification of network outages or performance degradation events. This will allow for the unification of Verizon's brand image to customers and major stakeholders with consistent and standardized notification of network events. You will need to look at data pipeline creation and integration to determine customers affected by diverse network equipment and ciruit outages and maintenances. You will also need create new forms of client delivery using mobile application integration and deployment.
• Responsibe for software design, architecture, and technology.
• Ensuring business priorities, U/I performance and user engagement are able to be monitored and measured throughout the process.
• Lead client requirements to understand the NMC requirements and create a U/I that they can easily interact with and that limits the amount of time they have to spend in the system. Also, look at how this experience could be transformed for mobile interactions.
• Working with the offshore development team to flesh out the user requirements and ensure that the team is delivering on the project.
• Providing regular project/program updates to senior leadership.
• Foster a culture of innovation and stay current and ahead ofemerging technologies and take rational risk in implementing those technologies to deliver ROI.
• Communicate the technology product roadmap to internal and external stakeholders.
• Help manage onshore and off shore cross functional development teams comprised of contract resources.
• Work with the user community to consolidate, migrate, and simplify the Network Notificationfunctions across NMC, NRB, etc.
• Foster a culture of innovation and stay current as well as be ahead of emerging technologies and take rational risk in implementing those technologies to deliver ROI.
Where you will be working:
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience managing large scale projects from beginning to completion.
• Six or more years of experience in managing IT projects/programs.
• Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
• Experience working in Telecom domain projects andprograms.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have on or more of the following:
• A degree in computer science or Mathematics, or other telecom-related discipline.
• Experience in IT - Telecom Industry.
• Executed at least one program in SAFe.
• Experience with Atlassian (Confluence, Jira).
• Leadership and organizational skills.
• Relationship management skills with both internal stakeholders and external vendors.
