Job Description
The CTI MCA Governance & Automation Head is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.The Head of CTI MCA Governance & Automation is responsible to lead and drive the coordination of the Management Control Assessment (MCA) and provide automated solutions to support the Audit Ready program Across Citi Technology Infrastructure.Responsibilities:Provide automated solutions for risk monitoring including report automations, self service solutions and automated controls.Enhance and develop processes and solutions to improve efficiency and quality of delivery whilst strengthening the control foundation that supports our clients. Identify opportunities to streamline and look for continuous improvements to our processesAssist in interactions with audit (internal and external) including deliverables management, audit fieldwork, business monitoring and audit meetings.Support other Risk & Controls staff including regional and global clients in performing ad hoc control assessment activities to evaluate risk management activities within the region.Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data for Risk Management reports including management metrics tracking, and preparing and verifying data for reports.Leverage reporting to identify trends, themes and areas requiring improved controlsExecute Risk Control coverage strategy, ensure appropriate risk mitigation actions are in place and escalate to senior management as appropriateProvide supervision of Risk Control team's efforts and assist with prioritizing and addressing roadblocks encounteredLeads and directs a team of professionals.Support the risk assessment program within Citi and region including training, governance, oversight and reporting of Management Control Assessments (MCA).Complete all tasks in connection with the organization’s activity but not detailed in the current job description, charged by the direct manager, supervisor, or the functional head.Qualifications:10+ years experience in Risk and people managementExcellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary.The candidate will need to be a self-starter.
