Full Job Description
OPS Technology Specialist provides best in practice technical and clinical support for sales agents and surgeons in the operating room for OPSInsight™ and other Corin hip products.
The key responsibilities of the OPS Technology Specialist are to:
• Strategic and tactical market development
• Planning & execution of surgeon engagement activities
• Key geographical penetration with surgeon conversions in collaboration with sales team
• Drive sales growth and manage expenditure
• On-boarding logistics and training for new and existing customers & internal staff
• Product knowledge of technology & associated product ranges
• Contribute to the technology marketing plan and drive the brand value proposition
• Drive portfolio reviews and opportunities for enhancement
• Drive the surgeon engagement strategy with the technology brands
• Drive the development of technology KOL’s in the market
• Drive collaboration in the development of global technology marketing collaterals
• Build knowledge of the key drivers in strategically relevant markets in USA
• Collaborate with local & international marketing teams to optimize local customer conversion
• Attend key meetings / exhibitions and drive OPSInsight™ deployment
• On board new customers with case support and education and ensure existing customers are engaged and maintained
• Drive the successful achievement of the budgeted number of technology-related hip cases in the market
• Drive the acquisition of new OPSInsight™ customers
• Monitor and manage budgeted marketing expenditure
• Develop and maintain a high level of relevant hip product and technology knowledge
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Corin’s standard operating procedures and policies and always ensure compliance.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, cutting-edge practices, current publications, and regulations
• Ensure company-related activities comply with relevant Acts, Codes, legal demands, and ethical standards
• Conduct your business relationship in a responsible and ethical manner to enhance and support the reputation and goodwill of the company
• Assist in the development of training structure including performance metrics and assessments for hip technology
• Identify and track training gaps of sales force for the purpose of informing training requirements
• Lead and facilitate training internal sessions with the support of the Marketing Team
Requirements
The ideal OPS Technology Specialist will have / be:
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, Science or similar
• At least 5 years of healthcare sales & marketing experience
• Orthopaedic industry experience within the joint replacement market
• Experience working with customers, commercial teams, and various sales channels
• Results oriented and self-motivated
• High level of business acumen and ability to liaise with high level surgeon opinion leaders
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
• Demonstrated customer service orientation and creative problem-solving skills
• Energetic, enthusiastic team player, able to succeed in a fast-paced environment where priorities may change quickly
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a cross-functional and team-oriented environment
• Strong oral and written skills (both in groups and one-on-one interaction)
• Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver results with multiple and complex projects
• Well-developed presentation skills
• Computer literacy with Microsoft suite of products
• Driver’s License
• This position requires up to 60% domestic travel for surgeon engagement, industry conferences and market related activities
