What you’ll be doing...
Leading a team of designers and developers who create innovative learning approaches to align with the business needs, while being highly effective, and in tune with our culture. This role supports the VBG Global Customer Operation team. You will be leading a team that is primarily responsible for confirming analysis, creating an engaging design, and building learning experiences in various delivery methods. Daily interfacing with Verizon professionals to receive, analyze, prioritize, and create job impacting learning experiences with measurable business outcomes. The training modalities may include: live virtual or classroom learning, asynchronous eLearning modalities, curating pathway development, and performance support systems.
• Collaborating with partners to determine learning needs and the best delivery approach.
• Leading and mentoring your team to build learning solutions.
• Managing team workload, setting priorities, allocating resources, and overcoming challenges to ensure delivery on time and on budget.
• Evaluating program efficiency and continuously improving our solutions.
• Providing regular updates to leadership on progress and results achieved.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.

You enjoy working as a trusted advisor with business leaders and determining the best ways for your team to deliver learning to meet training needs. You’re passionate about assessing the impact learning solutions have on the business and continuously seeking opportunities for improvement. Your ability to support others and encourage their creativity to produce great learning solutions for our employees drives and motivates you.
You’ll need to have:
• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge in the design of learning experiences.
• Experience building custom learning solutions using alternative modalities and technology.
• Willingness to drive up to approximately 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
• A degree.
• Experience leading a team.
• Knowledge of learning principles and training approaches.
• Ability to build trusting relationships and influenced at senior levels.
• Ability to motivate and encourage a team to create strong learning outcomes.
• Ability to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced working environment.
• Ability to relate your work with business outcomes and how work aligns across business functions.
• Ability to make decisions based on customer impact and business needs
• Experience with leading large-scale or strategic learning projects aligned with learner centered design.
