About the position:
• We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator - Material Handler at our Tampa, FL location . Responsible for safely and efficiently loading/unloading/storing building materials from trailers or rail cars (as needed) while minimizing damage and ensuring customers receive quality materials.
• 2nd shift 12 noon - 8:30 p.m. (or until finished)

Responsibilities
• Operate forklift in compliance with forklift training and safety guidelines
• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk)
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
• Maintains cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area
• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested
Qualifications
• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience
• Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport product, load/unload trucks
• Ability to understand and follow directions
• Ability to work independently, at times under pressure
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to read/comprehend sales order, purchase orders, safety material, etc.
• Detail oriented and organized, basic math skills
• Safe work record and stable work history
