POSITION PURPOSE
Set up a variety of automatic injection molding machines and secondary operations.  Run new mold piece part samples, maintain production runs, troubleshoot mold machine problems and train molding machine operators.  Use blueprints, procedures, instructions and variable measurement instruments.  Check for safe and quality operation. Is considered the expert in all equipment and will train others, help resolve complex issues, and provide feedback to the supervisor regarding Technician performance.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
C.        ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITES:
• Preventative maintenance of assigned equipment according to procedures and work instructions.
• Communicate with Team Leaders, Quality Assurance Technicians, Packers, Molders, ST Technicians, and Printer Technicians.
• Ensure product is being produced that meets quality requirements on assigned equipment.
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
• Clean-up of production area and machinery.
• Monitor and maintain material supply functions.
• Observe safety and security procedures; report potentially unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly.
• Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Food Safety, Quality and HACCP Pre-requisite Programs related to activities performed for this position.

Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three (3) years related experience in a manufacturing/maintenance environment.
Skills and Abilities
Documented demonstration of knowledge and performance of the job to the satisfaction of the Production Manager.
