Job Description
Great Southern Wood Preserving, Inc. producer of Yellawood brand Pressure-Treated Pine is seeking FORKLIFT OPERATORS for the location in Rocky Mount, Virginia. This is a full time position offering competitive pay and full benefit package.
Summary: Drives industrial forklift truck to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed
• Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, and fills fuel tank.
• Assists in inspecting machinery and identifying the needs for repairs and maintenance.
• Reports quality deficiencies, shortages, and/or damaged goods.
• Keeps record of inventory.
Qualifications :
• High School diploma or GED preferred, Must have previous forklift experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
