Full Job Description Join a team of highly skilled, motivated professionals as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk through this opportunity offered by Robert Half. The candidate in this position will be reporting to the Accounting Manager while attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. This Accounts Payable Clerk role will be located in the Dallas, Texas area and will be a short-term contract / temporary position.
Key responsibilities
• Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
• Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
• Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
• Provide customer service to internal business partners
• Carry out additional tasks as assigned
• Manage full-cycle A/P
• Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
• Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
• Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
• Prior experience with Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience with Verify Invoices
• Solid understanding of analysis
• Proven knowledge of Invoice Payment
• Wide ranging experience with Post Invoices
• Foundational knowledge in Epicor
• Previous experience working with Review Invoices
• Knowledge of Code Invoices
• Code Invoices experience
• Earlier work involving Prepare Invoices
• Expertise in account analysis
• Invoice Issues experience preferred
• Well-founded grasp of Invoice Processing
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
• Invoice Entry experience
• Quality experience with Payable Invoices
• Deep understanding of Invoice Discrepancies
• Good understanding of Process Vendor Invoices
• Deep understanding of Expense Analysis
• Practical knowledge of Outstanding Invoices
• General familiarity with Monthly Invoices
• Experience with Vendor Invoices
• Comprehension of Supplier Invoices
• Skills in Scanning Invoices
• Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
• Great attention to detail
• Demonstrated communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
