Nursing Educator and Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Nursing Educator and Coordinator is responsible for knowing regulations for the Home and Community Based Waiver programs and providing support to Case Managers in the area of reviewing Assessment and Reassessments.  Serves as a medical consultant for those in crisis, and provides input to the participant’s team. Provides education and training to staff in order to meet regulatory criteria established under the HCB waivers.  Will become trained and perform Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) according to State Contract. Provides Safe Medication Administration Training for the agency as scheduled through the training department.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ BS/BA degree in Nursing, Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or other Human Services degree approved by the state agency responsible for monitoring the corresponding waiver
+ One (1) year experience in working with individuals who are elderly, have health care needs, have an intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
