Debbie’s Staffing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager in Owensboro, KY.
Maintenance Manager – salary range is $100K-$110K as a benchmark with a 20% annual bonus measured through KPI’s.
Position Overview
The Maintenance Manager is a hands-on position that is responsible for preventative and routine maintenance task in our food manufacturing plant. The Maintenance Manager works with their staff to troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facilities equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness and reliability.
Duties and responsibilities
• Machine maintenance, breaking down equipment, adjusting and setting up for daily production.
• Preventative maintenance, which includes daily and weekly inspection on all aspect of machinery.
• Develops budgets for plant maintenance, projects and major and minor line improvements.
• Schedules, supervises and directs work of the staff.
• Evaluates performance and works with Plant Manager regarding personnel issues.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required.
• Able to work overtime and on call 24 hours a day for emergency situations. Weekend work required as needed.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in FOOD production/ facility maintenance; 3 year’s supervisory experience.
• Experience with SQF or other GFSI program.
• College degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering; equivalent experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
• Must be a proactive team player. Learns quickly when facing new problems and a learner open to change.
• ADVANCED mechanical and electrical skills.
• Must be able to work with power tools and work on high and low voltages. Have own tools.
• Able to read engineering schematic such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, hydraulic and pneumatic.
• Welding – Must Have.
• Pneumatic Equipment.
• Light Carpentry.
• Excellent communication skills. Able to interact with all levels of personnel.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and Outlook.
70% managing/administrative, 30% hands-on work. We are looking for  someone with a meat slicing background, no one from chicken industry. This position reports to our Plant Manager and will oversee the mechanics.
(Some) Equipment used:
-Multivac T850 (MULTIVAC is a major manufacturer of automatic tray sealers. Each machine is individually designed to each customer’s specific requirements in terms of tray and product infeed, discharge of packs, marking and quality inspection.
-Weber Slicers – slicing machines
-Bosch Flow Wrappers (Flow wraps are the means of packaging and protecting a product with a flexible material supplied in roll stock format)
-Tray Sealers (Tray automatic sealing machines with facilities for vacuum and/or gas injected packages. This type of machine is exclusively aimed at the food market)
-Thermoformers (Thermoforming equipment and vacuum forming equipment forms thermoplastic sheets or films over molds into finished shapes.  When the thermoplastic film is cooled, the formed part is trimmed from the sheet)
