EB159 - Live-In Travel Nanny - Dallas/Europe/Aspen/Hawaii

British American Household Staffing

Location: Dallas, Texas
Posted on: January 14, 2022
A busy and growing family with a dynamic lifestyle is seeking a stellar full-time career nanny/governess for their two-year-old child. The family splits their time between Dallas, TX, Europe, Aspen, CO, and Hawaii and would provide separate private accommodations in each of the long-term locations. The schedule would be 6 days per week for 8 consecutive weeks followed by 10 days off, but this role will require flexibility. The parents are active and involved, with busy remote work schedules, so the candidate must be comfortable working with them on a team and be flexible to help out with bedtime or on a later night if necessary.
The family is looking for someone kind and warm, who can set limits and hold boundaries with discipline in a gentle way. Someone who respects the role of the active parents and is happy to jump in and out of the role is a must. There are no screens for the children in this home, so the nanny would need to be comfortable keeping a busy and active toddler engaged by other means.
Job responsibilities include day-to-day care for the child - getting him up and ready for the day, making sure his hygiene is kept up, managing his daily routines and mealtimes, monitoring his development both physically and mentally, and keeping his belongings tidy and clean. Duties will also include engagement of the child in planned activities and outings that stimulate and challenge him intellectually and socially, teaching him life skills and language skills (like good manners), and working to raise a well-rounded and curious individual. It would be ideal if the candidate can foster language skills in English as well as in an additional language. The candidate who will do best in this position can roll with the punches when it comes to travel and the family's dynamic schedule, and will respect the role of the parents and defer to them when needed.
You must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record, strong swimming skills, be vaccinated for COVID, and have an up-to-date CPR certification. Only candidates with experience traveling with families and with experience in high end households will be considered. A competitive salary, housing, and benefits will be provided for the right candidate. If you're interested and are legal to work in the US, apply to EB159.
