WE ARE LOOKING FOR A Scientist QA
SENIORITY LEVEL: Experienced Non-Management Level
FUNCTION: Research and Development
LOCATION: Owensboro, KY
ROLE SUMMARY
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
This position designs and executes projects to support KBP strategic initiatives. The Scientist role collaborates within sub-function as well as cross-functionally on project assignments, establishing relationships and building technical knowledge.  This position utilizes creativity and technical knowledge to develop and implement improved and/or new innovative products within platforms. This individual will display a passion for winning, maintain high scientific standards and integrity, while adhering to all applicable regulations and procedures.
Reports to: Senior Manager QA
Core Relationships: Internal – Manufacturing, Quality Control, Plant Growth and Facilities
Geographic Scope: Local
ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Understands Company and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) strategies and ensures alignment of workstreams with strategic plan.
• Applies technical/professional principles, theories, and concepts and interprets results in the quality system
• Identifies, develops, and implements new technologies, processes, and associated systems
• Collaborates on project activities with cross-functional areas; prepares and presents reports to management on these projects or other subjects within expertise.
• Continues to broaden knowledge base and add value to project workstreams.
• Interacts with technical groups, functional business partners, suppliers, professional organizations, academia, consultants, etc. to conduct project initiatives.
• Conduct Daily Walkthroughs of Manufacturing and Plant Growths areas
• Batch Record Review
• Conducting Audits
• Perform Deviation/CAPA Review
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
• Technical knowledge and expertise in applicable area(s) (i.e GMP Quality Systems).
• Understanding of Root Cause Anaylsis, 21CFR210,211, ICH guidelines.
• 2-5 years of previous experince in Quality Assurance
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
• 4-year undergraduate degree or equivalent relevant progressive experience
BENEFICIAL
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Project management skills, including prioritizing and managing assignments to ensure activities are aligned with project timeline.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
