We are seeking Field Walkout Technicians to take a lead role in all activity with regards to the field walkout operations, including but not limited to, obtaining all actual information as detailed in project guidelines, discussing projects with customers, and researching information necessary to gather all data.
Responsibilities
• Perform a walkout and survey of new build or existing build (as-built) cable plant, by following specifications provided by the customer and/or company.
• Create new build or existing build (as-built) map of the walkout and surveyed area.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in accordance with customer and industry specifications.
• Follow guidelines to provide detailed route from existing plant to customer, noting all construction types required along proposed route.
• This is a production-based mapping position with great income earning potential based on performance.
Requirements
• Technologically advanced, results-driven, and highly ambitious candidates with 2+ years of cable mapping experience. High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strongly preferred up to required: • Comprehensive knowledge of the Cable TV fielding mapping and data collecting processes with hands on experience in new build and as-built walkouts.
• Knowledge of Cable TV drafting & design and basic construction and engineering practices of cable systems.
• Ability to read and understand maps.
• Travel up to 50-100% to project job sites in the states mentioned below is required. • Currently hiring to project sites in Wisconsin, Michigan, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and Missouri. There is potential to continue on to other job sites with this project or move to another project once assigned area is completed.
• Depending on home location of candidate and location of project site, you may be home nightly or on weekends.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with good driving record; company vehicle/gas card, along with other necessary tools are provided.
• Must be highly responsible and reliable and be able to report to job sites daily regardless of weather conditions and terrain.
• Software Knowledge: Katapult, IKE, or similar. O-Calc, Spidacalc, or similar. AutoCAD, or similar. ArcGIS, or similar. Microsoft Office Products; Excel, Word, Outlook.
• Strong analytical, observational, and communication skills.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies.
Shift is full-time, 40 hours per week minimum, Monday – Friday during daylight hours. Further schedule determinations TBD by hiring teams. Must be flexible, and willing and able to work outside normal business hours as necessary.
