Production Superintendent, Wide Cold Mill
Manpower Engineering and is seeking a Production Superintendent with rolling mill experience for our client in the Owensboro, KY area. This position will ensure that production runs with the task of maximizing productivity and quality; engage the team to drive a continuous improvement culture to eliminate waste, overburden and variability in manufacturing processes; act as a role model for safety by demonstrating behaviors that align with the company's safety principles and hold the team accountable for results; and provides leadership, direction, coaching and development to motivate and sustain high levels of employee performance. Note, the "heavy lifting" has already been done. You will be doing the "fine tuning" by working on reliability, speeds, run time, finish out the area upgrades. Just keep the "train on the track".

• Will report to the Auto Body Sheet Area Manager. Will have 5 Supervisors as direct reports and 2 PPQ Technicians dotted line to this role.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in an industrial environment required or any equivalent combination of experience and education that provides the required knowledge and skills.
• Experience in a rolling mill is required, preferrable a cold mill.
• At least 5+ years related work experience with leadership responsibility.
• Ability to understand the manufacturing process and technical knowledge to ensure product quality and flow.
• Ability to understand how activities impact cash conversion, EBITDA and other key financial metrics.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety policies and procedures, HR policies, standard work documents, maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, charts etc.
• Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
• This is a high visibility role - Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required with all levels of employee.
• Ability to problem solve, analyze and apply continuous improvement methodology to work processes.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a union environment preferred.
• Experience in an automated equipment environment preferred.
