DIRECTOR OF CLINICAL SUPPORT Leadership Hours: 8-5p flexible Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-80 - 47104A
Job Summary Provides leadership and direction for areas of responsibility to ensure the delivery of high quality, cost-effective, and safe care for all customers served. Works collaboratively with senior leadership for strategic planning and goal attainment. # Job Responsibilities Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Develops and implements departmental goals and objectives consistent with medical, administrative, legal, and ethical requirements of the health care delivery system. Directs and evaluates departmental operations to achieve performance and quality objectives. Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of patient care services in assigned areas of responsibility. Directs and/or assists in prompt resolution of issues and complaints. Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services. Monitors and adheres to annual hospital operating budget. Approves expenditures, purchases, and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines. Ensures a high level of patient care is maintained in assigned areas of responsibility through coordination and management of personnel and resources. Assists in hiring, training, development, and evaluation of departmental staff. Uses sound business and clinical management strategies to maintain and improve quality; ensures appropriate access; meets established financial goals; develops, implements, and communicates a service line plan, which is aligned with and supports corporate goals. Monitors and evaluates operations to ensure compliance with established professional, regulatory, and organizational standards and requirements. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire OR Master#s degree or higher in nursing related field required upon hire A minimum of 5 years# relevant experience required RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 45 days of employment in this position AND CPI - Crisis Prevention Institute certification required within 90 days of employment in this position OR MOAB - Management of Aggressive Behavior required within 90 days of employment in this position Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
