*This position has the flexibility to be 100% remote if desired.
As a member of this team, you will contribute to CDM Smith's success by;
-Working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams to help our customers design, test, implement and oversee solutions for transportation revenue collection.
-The position will focus on road usage charging (RUC) including existing RUC policies and system solutions as well as emerging solutions, including interaction and integration with related in-vehicle and infrastructure-based technologies, data sources, and payment platforms.
-Examples of specific work tasks include:
•Creating system design for innovative transportation revenue collection systems including pilot and operational RUC programs.
•Creating system design documentation for revenue collection systems.
•Supporting client procurements of system solutions.
•Designing and overseeing testing and evaluation of revenue system solutions.
•Crafting and proposing policy and technical solutions to address client and stakeholder objectives and constraints
•Authoring papers and memoranda that frame technical issues including alternative solutions, trade-offs, and considerations.
•Managing tasks and projects including scope, schedule, budget, and resource identification.
•Presenting findings and recommendations to working groups, task forces, legislative committees, other public bodies, and the public.
•Mentoring junior and mid-level staff in revenue collection systems.
•Supporting marketing and proposals in areas related to the above.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning, or related discipline. AICP, PTP, PE, CEP, or approved certification in a related field. Or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Urban, Community or Regional Planning, or related discipline.
-15 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 14 years of experience with a Master's degree.
-Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Direct experience designing, operating, or otherwise supporting innovative transportation revenue collection systems.
-Working understanding of top transportation public policy challenges facing U.S. federal, state, and local governments, including funding, technology, energy, emissions, and equity.
-Excellent analytical skills including stakeholder and political awareness especially as relates to revenue collection systems.
-Fluency with financial analysis including cost analysis of revenue collection systems.
-Understanding of transportation technology and innovation trends.
-Advanced degree.
