NURSING EDUCATOR Nursing Hours: 8a-430p Days - Full-time Paygrade/Wages/Salary Info: OH 2013-77 - 40134H
Job Summary Develops and provides services related to the orientation, continuing education, and assessment of clinical staff. # Job Responsibilities Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff. Develops implements and evaluates educational programs and utilizes methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals. Serves as a consultant for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development. Participates in the coordination of orientation programs, preceptor development, annual skills assessments, and simulations. Performs job duties in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. Qualifications Bachelor#s degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire A minimum of 2 years# relevant experience required RN - Licensed as a Registered Nurse. Eligible to practice nursing in the State of Kentucky required upon hire AND BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required upon hire AND BLS instructor - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Instructor required within 90 days of employment in this position AND ACLS Instructor - Certified as an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Healthcare Instructor required within 180 days of employment in this position Skills and Attributes Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment. Works under minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
