Full Job Description The Maintenance Team Member performs residential and commercial landscaping maintenance and enhancement tasks under the supervision of the Maintenance Team Leader. He or she operates a wide variety of industry-specific equipment such as mowers, weed eaters, edgers, blowers, tillers, spray equipment, and other similar tools. The Team member strictly follows safety procedures, company policies, and OSHA guidelines when performing any/all tasks associated with this position.
The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, a current and unrestricted driver's license, the physical stamina required to perform all aspects of this job, and a willingness to follow the directions of the team leader in a highly disciplined fashion. In addition, candidates must maintain a clean and professional image, be punctual, and deliver outstanding customer service at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES • Performs maintenance duties, such a mowing, applying fertilizer, weed control, aeration, spring clean-up, fall clean-up, trimming, and pruning
• Operates a variety of mechanical equipment, including bed edgers, commercial mowers, blowers, dump trailers, chain saws, line trimmers, and tillers
• Performs landscape enhancement activities such as mulch application, plantings, top soil application, and lawn seeding
• Applies chemicals under the direction of a licensed applicator using all required protective equipment
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment, including work site, equipment, and vehicles
• Safely operates vehicles such as trucks and trailer combinations
• Addresses clients' questions, comments, and concerns to ensure a high level of client satisfaction
• Helps the Team Leader with route/job planning and organization to ensure sufficient resources and materials are readily available
• Helps with equipment maintenance and repair under the supervision of the Team Leader
• Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or GED (or a current student in good standing)
• One year of relevant experience preferred, but not required
• Current and unrestricted driver's license
• Clean driving record required
• Willing and able to work occasional (paid) overtime when necessary
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds to waist level and perform all other physical requirements associated with a position of this nature
