Full Job Description Landmark Digestive Health seeks a compassionate medical assistant to begin working at a young gastroenterology office in Owensboro.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• Welcome patients to our office with a warm greeting.
• Help patients check in using gKiosk.
• Lead patients to an exam room.
• Check and record patients' vital signs and history.
• Update patients' charts quickly and efficiently.
• Clean exam room after every patient and prepare it for the next.
• Answer phone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
• Manage voicemails and call patients regarding test results, procedures, or medications.
• Assist doctor, staff, visitors and patients in a way that contributes to the efficiency of the office.
• Maintain highest level of professionalism regarding confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Schedule patient appointments.
• Accurately document patient visits, phone calls and messages.
• Document medical information.
• Prepare orders and compile data from patient charts.
• Maintain inventory of supplies.
Requirements - any ONE of the following requirements must be met:
• Graduate from a medical assistant academic program
• Have two years of full-time work experience as a medical assistant and most recent employer's positive recommendation
• Be a highly qualified medical professional from another country
• Work as a medical assistant equivalent in the US Military
• Pass the Medical Certified Medical Assistant Exam'
