Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator's primary function is to operate a variety of Heavy Equipment at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures. Equipment operators are also expected to assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities: • Operating a variety of equipment to complete tasks such as clearing land, trimming backfill, and to move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks and other types of aggregate
• Must have knowledge of operating procedures as it pertains to loading and unloading materials
• Making tow, transferring and laying rigging
• Conduct occasional barge inspections and general housekeeping duties
• Assist construction crews with structures in and around the water
Qualifications:
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• May be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers
• Requires manual dexterity
• May be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods of time
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening
Work Environment:
• Outdoor and near/on the water/ocean
Compensation and Hours
Salary Range: $17.00 - $24.00 Hour DOE (Depends on Experience) 401K, Dental, Medical, Sick Leave, Vacation, Vision Other Benefits: Not Available Full or Part Time: Full Time (30 Hours or More) Job Duration: Over 150 Days Type of Job: Temporary
