Full Job Description Math Instructor (Part-time)
We are looking for passionate, friendly, math-loving people who enjoy working with kids. We will teach you everything else you need to be able to teach the Mathnasium way.
As a Math Instructor, you will be impacting the lives of children in our community by creating confidence and a welcoming environment for them to learn new ways of approaching math. A Math Instructor is responsible for delivering math instruction to students in grades 1st to 12th. You will motivate and inspire students to learn by engaging them in a positive, fun, and productive learning environment. Instructors must be able to correct work and provide students with constructive feedback using positive reinforcement techniques that bolster confidence with math. Instructors must be able to evaluate and document progress in order to facilitate student learning.
As Instructors, you must be able to interact with parents, students, and co-workers in a friendly, professional manner.
Experience working with children preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Teach Mathematical concepts to students.
• Monitor student performance and assist students in a learning center environment.
• Utilize multiple instruction methodologies.
• Provide feedback to students, parents, and other team members.
• Grade and correct student assignments.
• Assist students with math homework and manage students' time while in the center.
Requirements:
• Ability to pass a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency.
• Ability passes a background check.
• US work authorization (Required).
Schedule:
• Monday to Thursday (Flexible Hours)
• Weekend Availability
The position does not allow for remote work.
