POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Instructional Designer will serve as the expert in the learning and development department. Operates as a consultant who analyzes organizational, group and individual performance needs. This role is responsible for complex training and learning initiatives for multiple internal clients that drive the learning and development of Caliber employees while incorporating instructional design methodology. These initiatives are designed and developed with the ultimate goal to close the performance gaps and deliver solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Consult with business areas to determine learning needs and objectives. Lead the learning and development team in the design and development of learning solutions that align with the established learning objectives.
• Develop content for a variety of delivery methods applying adult learning concepts which may include, but are not limited to, instructor-led training, web-based learning, self-paced eLearning, participant guides, facilitator guides, user manuals, job aids and other reference materials.
• Perform needs assessments – confer with management, supervisors and employees through a variety of channels (surveys, interviews, group sessions, informal) to analyze and isolate the etiology of performance gaps and determine the appropriate solution to close performance gaps.
• Evaluate the impact of learning and performance solutions and leverage findings to provide necessary recommendations for change to help with long term transfer of knowledge and increase effectiveness of learning solutions.
• Create and execute project planning within specified timelines.
• Develop effective training materials for the necessary skills and competencies required for closing the identified performance gap.
• Manage and lead the instructional design process from initial needs analysis to evaluation.
• Ensure content created meets the established learning objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 5+ years of instructional design experience, residential mortgage experience strongly desired.
• Knowledge of instructional design methodologies (i.e ADDIE model).
• Working knowledge of eLearning tools and software (i.e Captivate, Camtasia, Articulate, Sparkol).
• Proficient in Adobe software
• Expertise with Microsoft Office required.
• Experience using Learning Management Systems.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects with demanding timelines.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
