Grow your career as a Unix Developer with an innovative global bank in Tampa, FL. Long-term contract with excellent growth potential. Will start working remotely until offices reopen, then will be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
Responsibilities:
•
Design and implement batch jobs and applications using Perl/Unix scripts.
•
Write code that deals with database operations, FTP/SFTP file transfers.
•
Write database scripts/queries for the application and reporting purpose.
•
Create and maintain Autosys jobs.
•
Communicate with external teams for infrastructure or business needs and with other team members during development and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
•
3 years of experience in designing and developing applications on Unix platform using shell scripting and other scripting languages.
•
Experience working in Unix/Linux platform and Unix commands.
•
Working experience with relational databases.
•
Strong database and operating system concepts.
•
Understanding of object-oriented programming languages like Java or C++.
•
Experience with C programming language, NO-SQL databases or Networking would be a plus.
•
Prefer moderate experience with Java or C/C++ programming languages and Sybase/Oracle.
•
Able to analyze network concepts like enterprise messaging, Firewalls, FTP and basic HTTP concepts.
