Enterprise Overview:
Provides technical and analytical support in a GWIM operations function for one or more product areas such as funds transfer, collateral mgt/margins, corporate actions, static data/data management, control, trader support, clearance/settlement, documentation/confirmations, customer service, new accounts, client valuations, document processing or statement/billing processing. Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives requiring exception handling and working with multiple operational and/or product specialists to resolve. Ability to understand trust documents and to ensure all legal and bank requirements are met prior to distributing fiduciary accounts. Familiarity with different investment types and understanding of asset transfer requirements, and attention to detail to ensure all terminations are processed correctly. May participate in projects and/or introduction of new initiatives, systems, products/services and processes. This role typically requires 3+ years experience in operations functions and a thorough working knowledge of the operational aspects of transactions and products.
LOB Description:
The Client On-Boarding & Account Services team is part of the Trust Operations & Client Services organization. The primary focus of our team is the on-boarding and account servicing of fiduciary accounts housed on the UST-PACE platform for our high net worth clients. Our business partners include US Trust Client Teams, Fiduciary Tax Services, Office of the Chief Fiduciary, Legal Services, Asset Transfer Services and Specialty Asset Management. Key priorities for this role within our team are to ensure all legal and policy requirements are met prior to distributing fiduciary accounts and to ensure asset transfer requirements are met to facilitate the seamless transfer of all asset types for our clients.
The teammate in this role is responsible for interpreting legal documents, mitigating risk to the bank by ensuring all legal requirements are met for the distribution of fiduciary accounts, facilitating asset transfers and ensuring documentation is reported and housed for audit purposes. As part of the responsibilities of the role, the teammate will develop business partner relationships with the US Trust Client teams, Fiduciary Tax Services, Office of the Chief Fiduciary, Legal Services, Asset Transfer Services and Specialty Asset Management.
Required Skills:
• 1+ years of legal document review experience
• Strong communication skills
• Great attention to detail
• Strong organizational and time management skills
