Our client, a leading global financial services company, has approximately 200 million customer accounts and does business in more than 140 countries. They provide consumers, corporations, governments and institutions with financial products and services, including consumer banking and credit, corporate and investment banking, securities brokerage, transaction services, and wealth management.
Description:
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement batch jobs and applications using Perl/Unix scripts
• Candidate should be able to write code that deals with database operations, FTP/ SFTP file transfers
• Write database scripts/queries for the application and reporting purpose
• Create and maintain Autosys jobs
• Moderate experience with Java or C/C++ programming languages and Sybase/Oracle preferred
• Communicate with external teams for infrastructure or business needs
• Able to analyze network concepts like enterprise messaging, Firewalls, FTP and basic HTTP concepts
• Communicate effectively with other team members during development and maintenance activities
Experience/Skills:
• 3 years of experience in designing and developing applications on Unix platform using shell scripting and other scripting languages
• Experience working in Unix/Linux platform and Unix commands
• Working experience with relational databases
• Strong database and operating system concepts
• Understanding of object oriented programming languages like Java or C++
• Experience with C programming language, NO-SQL databases or Networking would be a plus
