What you get to do:
As a Supervisor for Merchandise, you’ll play a lead role in ensuring positive, memorable guest experiences. You’ll strive to exceed guest expectations as you supervise a shift while also performing the duties of your supervised positions. This involves leading, inspiring and mentoring Assistant Supervisors and Ambassadors to deliver consistently outstanding performances. You will:
• Ensure adherence to policies/procedures and security, integrity, and safety protocols
• Create and edit weekly schedules for Ambassadors
• Monitor labor management, including managing meals and rest periods
• Drive sales and revenue goal achievement
• Discern customer refunds
• Oversee asset protection, damage control, and pricing adherence
• Monitor stock inventory, including damage and min/max
• Elevate inventory issues when necessary
• Ensure facilities exceed presentation, cleanliness, and quality expectations
• Troubleshoot and repair merchandise equipment
• Write and distribute Ambassador performance tracking documentation
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
• Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
• High school diploma
• College degree preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous retail and theme park experience a plus
• Knowledge of Parkware, MMS, ATRB, Kronos, and Scheduler systems highly desirable
• Outgoing personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent math skills with the ability to create and interpret graphs/numbers
• Ability to learn and effectively use point of sale system
• Ability to maintain composure, multi-task and make quick decisions in stressful situations
• Computer proficiency Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with retail financial terms
What else is important:
• Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs.
• Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
• Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes
Perform cleaning duties; including use of cleaning chemicals
• Work a flexible schedule/hours based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts; nights, weekends, and holidays
• Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities
