Full Job Description Position Title: Program Coordinator
Supervisor: Program Director
Program: Tampa Hope
Location: Tampa, FL
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am to 5pm, and on call
Job Classification: Full-Time Exempt
Pay Rate: $19.23
Starting Date: ASAP
Description: The Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting Program Director with the daily program operations of Hillsborough Hope and overseeing and supervising infrastructure matters related to the transitional residential program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supervise Tampa Hope Front Desk operations.
• Supervise recruit, hire, train and evaluate Front Desk employees and volunteers.
• Under direction of supervisor, assist with the provision of all required items to provide services related to client’s intake and arrival activities such as tents, sleeping bags etc.
• Monitor program clients’ adherence to occupancy rules through routine follow ups in coordination with Program Director.
• Responsible for routine inspection of interior and exterior of Tampa Hope facility infrastructure.
• Execute orientation of new clients and arrange for their living area.
• Resolve problems related to facility operations and client relationships.
• Prepare computerized work orders to meet emergency and corrective needs of clients and monitor their completion.
• Prepare requests for materials, tools, and equipment to submit to supervisor for approval.
• Participates as a member of the campus treatment team to cover community-based meetings as necessary and or in the absence of Program Director.
• Oversee recruitment of client volunteers for camp chores and service days.
• Identifying, purchasing, and cleaning tents in preparation for intake.
• Responsible for overseeing maintenance of storage trailers, storage casitas, clothing closet and kitchen through client volunteers and program volunteers.
• Assist with monitoring, maintenance, and distribution of in-kind donations for program clients.
• Oversee coordination of purchase, pick-up and delivery of supplies and equipment with Front Desk employees.
• Maintain health and safety standards and ensure that common areas are clean and sanitary.
• Supervise monitoring of drug and alcohol testing.
• Monitor client adherence to program rules.
• Counsel clients on rules violations.
• Oversee operations of monitors on camp (laundry, clothing closet, kitchen, computer lab, etc.)
• Carry cell phone and be on call for staff and client emergencies.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Complies with all applicable training requirements.
• Complies with all company safety, personnel and operational policies and procedures.
• Complies with work schedule to ensure effective operations of Agency programs.
• Contributes positively as a member of a productive and cooperative team.
• Participates in Agency Performance Quality Improvement (/PQI) program and Accreditation/Reaccreditation process.
• Performs other duties as necessary to fulfill Catholic Charities Diocese of St Petersburg, Inc Mission.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Able to speak, write and understand English.
• Must be sensitive to and respect cultural diversity amongst clients, staff, and volunteers and able to work with diverse racial, ethnic, and economic groups.
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to set appropriate limits, work under deadlines and multi-task.

• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Possess strong work ethics.
• Successfully pass an FDLE Level II background screening.
• Valid Florida driver’s license, ability to drive van or bus and have reliable transportation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services related field (BSW/MSW preferred).
• Proven experience in developing operating services procedures by identifying best practices in working with homeless individuals.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with homeless population.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a supervisor.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the human and/or social services field.
• Strong leadership and networking skills, proven management experience.
• Thorough knowledge of community services and target populations.
