Full Job Description Description: Primary Position Objective:
The Wage Compliance Specialist will perform Davis Bacon wage compliance and Section 3 monitoring. They will perform audits of construction contractor(s) certified payrolls and related documentation on federally funded construction projects subject to the payment of prevailing wages and Section 3.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate preconstruction conference meetings with general contractors and subcontractors. Prepare agenda, wage compliance materials and forms for meetings.
• Review payroll and Section 3 documentation received for timeliness, completeness, and compliance with respective requirements.
• Audit certified payroll records in accordance with respective Federal and/or State prevailing wage requirements. Complete reports as required based upon funding source. Prepare and distribute monthly reports to clients.
• Prepare and distribute reports of audit findings and required corrective action to general contractors, subcontractors, and other parties, as applicable. Serve as main point of contact for guidance and resolution of discrepancies.
• Coordinate site interview documents and project details with outside vendor.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with clients and project contractors.
. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma; post-high school education preferred but not required.
• Strong problem solving, written and verbal skills.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• 3-4 years of financial/administrative experience in a financial services environment.
• Payroll accounting experience preferred, but not required.
• Davis Bacon wage compliance and/or Section 3 experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information and procedures.
• Ability to write reports and general business correspondence.
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exceptional customer service.
• Knowledge of MS Windows, Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
